Chinks

These are typical West Texas Chinks normally available as "Step-ins" but are also available with strap or snap style leg closure. ADULT and YOUTH styles are shown plain, basket stamped, oakleaf, and with flower stamped trim. All chinks come with a right hand inside pocket included in the price. You may specify other pocket styles or locations or no pocket at all if you choose.

Adult sizes are typically $199.95 to $325.00 depending on trim.

The Abilene

One of our most popular chaps, the "Abilene", is a step in batwing chap with a lot of detail workmanship. Recommended in Oil tan chap leather, the wing trim keeps the shape of the wing. This chap is favored by working hands and cutters and is often ordered with inside pockets and/or a hobble ring on the left leg. Modified styles with pointed wings and/or full length fringe are also available. Inside zipper is available for $25.00 additional.

Batwing Chaps

#1 is a traditional batwing chap with snaps to close the let. This pair has an optional flower carved top yoke laced together in front reminiscent of late 1800's and early 1900's styles. Plain styles start at $239.95 and up.

#2 and #3 are "step in Batwings" popular in West Texas. These chaps require 6-7 oz. or heavier leather to retain the shape of the "wing". These chaps offer maximum protection from thorns but are also popular with cutting horse folks. Inside leg comes to the knee like step in chinks unless otherwise specified.

Shotgun Chaps

These "Shotgun Chaps" have heavy brass zippers for a closure. Standard zippers open completely but a special closed zipper mounting may be special ordered at a slight additional cost. This zipper opens approximately 4" from top of inside leg to bottom of chap.

Chap 1 and 2 have basket stamp trim and full conchos with laced in zipper panels for durability and protection of the zipper stitching. Conchos are 1 1/4" stainless steel but solid brass is available at no extra charge. As shown: $329.95

Chaps like #1 and #2 can be ordered plain, geometric stamped or fully carved and can have full conchos as shown, top and bottom concho only or no conchos if desired.

Chap 3 is a basic zipper shotgun with no extras.

Pockets

Pockets #1 and #2 are standard outside pockets in large and medium sizes. Note: we use leather button closures, not snaps. Pocket size is determined by your thigh size to position the pocket properly.
Pocket #3 is an extra deep version of the #1 and #2 styles.
Pocket #4 is a "mini-pocket" as an outside pocket for youth-size chaps.
Pocket #5 is a pant style inside pocket option available on most chap styles.
Pocket #6 is a pistol pocket for those who feel so inclined. This pocket requires a tracing of the pistol to be carried.

Pockets are available for $22.50 each pocket except Pocket #6 which is $45.00.
